1. Going for Gold

   

   In an amazing achievement, the BSO has become the first symphony orchestra to be awarded Silver Healthy Orchestra status by the Association of British Orchestras and the Musicians' Benevolent Fund

2. Julian Clegg Presents

   

   Julian Clegg of BBC Radio Solent is to present John Williams Blockbusters Concert at Portsmouth Guildhall on 19 March 2010.

3. England's Green and Pleasant Land

   

   Due to popular demand, the BSO is to extend its main winter season to include two additional May concerts in Poole that feature the very best of English music. These two concerts feature the works of English composers performed, of course, by one of the best English orchestras, under the baton of David Hill, the orchestra's renowned Associate Guest Conductor.

4. Indoor Outdoor Upside Down!

   

   On 25 and 26 June 2010....the sun sets over the green grass, as the stars slowly appear one by one.... children are wide eyed and adults relax with a glass of wine as the strains of orchestral music drift into the falling night....but this is not an outdoor venue, but the Concert Hall at Lighthouse!

   The golden stones of Winchester Cathedral will once again resound with beautiful music as the BSO's annual series of performances comes to the City in June, with three performances of music that perfectly complement this spiritual setting
