I joined the BSO in 1991.
What I enjoy most about my job is the combination of playing in one of the leading orchestras in the UK, and the opportunities I have through the BSO Resonate Strings to devise and deliver musical experiences for young people throughout the BSO’s geographical region.
I spend as much of my free time as I can with my husband, which usually involves sailing, watching sailing or talking about sailing with many fascinating people. Sailing is now one of my hobbies, and I use my free time to improve my ability and knowledge.
What I like most about being on the South Coast is being close to so many beautiful places.
The earliest musical experience I can remember is singing Mozart’s Ave Verum Corpus in the school choir, which was conducted by our wonderful music teacher, Mrs. Maddock.
